About Us
The Journey
The Unalome is a Buddhist symbol, featuring a single line that spirals, twirls and ends in a straight line. Although simple in appearance, the Unalome holds within it the entire philosophy of human existence.
In Buddhism, the Unalome represents the path we take in life; it’s a representation of our journey – the story of our lives. The path can be winding or convoluted, but it eventually ends in a straight path, symbolizing mental freedom and enlightenment.
The Enlightenment
The lotus is a highly significant symbol in many Eastern religions and philosophies.
The Lotus grows deep in mud, hidden from the sun. Yet it pushes its way upward towards the light and blooms into a beautiful heavily scented flower. This pattern of growth signifies the progress of the soul from the primeval mud of materialism, through the waters of experience, and into the bright sunshine of enlightenment. Though there are other water plants that bloom above the water, it is only the lotus which, owing to the strength of its stem, regularly rises eight to twelve inches above the surface.
Because of this inherent trait of the lotus to find light despite the odds it faces, it used by Eastern religions as a symbol of enlightenment.
Founder and Guide
The desire to deliver the highest quality services for energy healing arose from the desire to have alternative healing available for not only the patient but the caregiver.
I am still a client as well as a provider, as I have been on this journey for the past 15 years. As a full time working mother, caregiver for my spouse with terminal cancer, I struggled with all aspects of my own life everyday. I found the stress and anxiety to be so harmful to my own health in many ways that I needed to get help for myself as it became clear that without my health, I could not reliably address my family and employers needs.
My early experiences with Reiki, and Meditation led me on a positive path to higher level self care improving my health, and increasing my energy and gave me the desire to be a practitioner to provide this encouragement and experience to others for their well being.
I still have regular Reiki and Meditation sessions with other Masters and Providers to assure I am doing my best to balance my life first as stated, you cannot help others if you are not addressing your own needs as well.
Now retired from the corporate world, widowed, and a Grandmother, I spend time Training, Meeting with others, and generally consider this work a practice as you can take your experience in many positive directions and I really love to work with others to gain insight to their approach to Energy Healing and improve myself in the process.
